Wa alaikum assalam, In regards to changing for the better, that is the whole principle behind Islam. Part of it includes for us to be disciplined enough to control our carnal desires and Islam provides a legal outlet for those desires (through your spouse). For those who can't get married, we are told to fast (which weakens our desires and brings us closer to Allah- increases our taqwa). In regards to someone who is FORCED to do something against their will, they are not responsible for it as long as they truly oppose it. Allah does not hold you accountable for something you did not do or had no control over. Take the example of siblings: Jack takes his sister Suzy's hand and uses it to hit another sibling. Can he get her in trouble by saying she hit the sibling or should he be the one in trouble? --- In islamcity@yahoogroups.com, "pop_odi" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > Assalamu alaikum: > > Yours is a remarkable insight suggesting somehow these people engaged > with this craft to change for good and if not should you condemn them > and treat like criminals?
