Assalaamu 'alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, Ask one of the Shuyukh/Sheikha's on www.sunnipath.com about it - or look at the answers section there. If saying SadaqAllahul Adheem was not a Sunnah, and you believe that it was and you say it with that intention - then you would be innovating. So if it's not a Sunnah to say it, and you know this, and you say it, because it means - 'Allahu subhaanahu wa ta'ala has spoken the Truth' - now is there denying that He has? The safest path is to stick to the As Sawad al Adham - which is the biggest group of Muslims from every generation. And these have always throughout history people who have been taking their fiqh (jurisprudence) from the four schools of Islamic Law. Yes in essence it sounds good - people who wish to be bid'ah police, however in reality, most are mere laymen - even if they are teaching tajweed. At the least, if the 'ulama are debating on an issue - hence there is ikhtilaaf on the matter - one cannot say with a definate utterance that what's being done is an innovation. And since the scholars have not agreed that this saying is an innovation, you do what your heart says is right (if you have cleansed or done tazkiyyah on your nafs). But the safest option is to ask those whom you trust on this issue. I could always post fatawa from the scholars - however I am sure that our brethren who believe this to be an innovation will post fatawas from their scholars - and the issue will never end :) And Allah Alone Knows Best Fi Amanillah Abu Khadijah Melbourne

I am attending a Tajweed class. Most of the reciters after tilawat say 'SadaqaAllahul Azim." Our teacher said that according to Sunnah it is not specified and she thinks it is a kind of bidah. I heard this since my childhood, kindly explain if it is a bidah or sunnah. JazakaAllah Abida Rahmani "And were every tree that is in the earth (made into) pens and the sea (to supply it with ink), with seven more seas to increase it, the words of Allah would not come to an end; surely Allah is Mighty, Wise."
