I would like to draw your attention towards a news under the heading of "PTA decision to cut Royalty Lauded". Mr. Sanaullah Bhutta (President ISPAK) is speaking the language of PTA. If you remember we in the past has proposed that : 1- Royalty is not justified. 2- If at all it is to be charged , it should not be on the Gross Revenue, because the payments already made to PTCL for PRIs/E1s and the Bandwidth charges, which forms a major portion of expenditures, should be deducted from the Gross Revenue. To my mind PTA has not done wonders to be appreciated in the form Mr. Sanaullah Bhutta has done. At this stage few of the ISPs have paid the Royalty and the major number have gone to the court against impression of Royalty. The situation at present is not very clear, will the president Mr. Sanaullah Bhutta would throw some light and speak in the interest of ISPs rather than unnecessarily lauding the PTA.
