The Service Providers are observing a number of issues with PTCL, PTA and
MoST, there is a dire need to represent ISPAK again strongly with
consistency. To make ISPAK a vibrant strong body for the Internet industry,
we need to do the following.
1. Devise and implement ISPAK Mission Statement and Objectives
2. Identify areas for MoST, PTA and PTCL for Regulatory, Commercial, Tariff
& Technical issues
(I have deliberately keep commercial and tariff issues separate)
3. Form active committees to represent ISPAK for the above mentioned issues.
4. Start conducting meeting at regional and central level with authorities
and among members also
to form strategies.
We already have raised QoS, Free Internet Access to PTA, block of Voice
sites issues with MoST and Mr. Pasha will circulate the correspondence on
the subject to all members. However, there's lot more to be done from ISPAK
platform.
I am enclosing herewith a draft document stating 3 Mission statements and 10
objectives of ISPAK
to our members to comment. Kindly give your input to finalize/devise one
mission statement and 4 or 5 objectives.
The whole object is to make ISPAK a focused body towards it's Mission and
objectives and not focused towards personalities.
