Okay this might be the fix you are looking for...
First go to where you installed RealSecure and look for a folder called "Updates". If you don't have a folder in the RealSecure/ISS directory called "Updates", then do a find on your hard drive for "*.xpu". If you are wanting to download, for example, the 4.2 xpu, and you find it on your hard drive, delete it. After deleting it, you should be able to download. From my experience, it looks like RealSecure sometimes sticks a READ ONLY version in a folder (usually called Updates) and that folder is where RealSecure places the new xpu's and expands them...only it can't because there is already one there and it is read only.
Let me know if that fixes it.

| This may or may not be pertinent.
|
| I had a problem when I needed to download an .xpu and sneaker net it to
an isolated box. The file was not being saved with the correct extension.
When I attempted to download and save the .xpu file, it opened a .zip window
for the destination. When the file arrived, it was named
"filename.xpu.zip". Seems like I had to rename it without the .zip
extension and was able to use it.

Title: RE: Download XPress Problem
I am
experiencing the same problem with the Xpress 4.3 release this week. I
downloaded the update as I did for the Xpress 4.2 and placed the file in the
same location. When I initialized the 4.3 update (in the same manner as 4.2) the
program doesn't see the 4.3 update.....only 4.2.
Could
it be the format or the process used to compress the
updates??????
