ASF GitHub Bot logged work on ARTEMIS-2399: ------------------------------------------- Author: ASF GitHub Bot Created on: 26/Jun/19 21:51 Start Date: 26/Jun/19 21:51 Worklog Time Spent: 10m Work Description: clebertsuconic commented on issue #2730: ARTEMIS-2399 Fix performance degradation when there are a lot of subscribers URL: https://github.com/apache/activemq-artemis/pull/2730#issuecomment-506058908 We are going through so many scholar back and forths.. and I'm lost now... I don't understand why we need two page caches now.. one on softCache, one on indexCacheMap The idea of the softCache was to let PageCache go, and be reconstructed if memory is really low. If you are adding a permanent cache, why not remove the soft Cache? Why do you intend to break the soft references here? A SoftCache is only released if memory is really low.. so why break that rule? ---------------------------------------------------------------- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service. We ran our _GrinderRunner > test_ in our inner test infra cluster with 500 threads producing message and > 560 threads, each one picked a random queue to subscribe. The test showed > performance is bad: 13000 msg/s sent and 5000 msg/s received. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v7.6.3#76005)
