IMO there is not enough interest in maintaining this plugin on our side.
Initially there was an interest from team members, then from external
contributors, but there is no activity in this area for several months...
IMO the best would be to fork the original project and maintain it yourself. If
things go well later you can apply to become a member of the Avro team and
continue maintaining it as part of the project, if you like to.
