Quarkus & Spring Boot 3.x currently align to Micrometer 1.15.x, which is not
binary compatible with 1.16.x.
There's an open Quarkus issue to track the upgrade:

For Spring Boot, I'm not sure if 1.16 support will come in 3.x. It is present
in SB 4.x.
