h2. Background
CAMEL-23861 (GenAI observability) merged Phase 3 in apache/camel PR #25507. On
merge, committer Claus Ibsen noted:
"You are welcome to look in camel-spring-boot if anything there needs to be
added/updated."
Camel Main now supports GenAI observability via camel.aiObservability.enabled
and programmatic configuration
(main.configure().aiObservability().withEnabled(false)), but the
camel-spring-boot starter repo has no corresponding first-class Spring Boot
auto-configuration.
h2. Problem
Spring Boot users must rely on generic Camel Main property binding. There is no
dedicated @ConfigurationProperties, no starter metadata
(spring-configuration-metadata.json /
additional-spring-configuration-metadata.json), and no documentation in
camel-spring-boot for toggling GenAI observability.
h2. Proposed scope
* Add Spring Boot configuration properties for GenAI observability (e.g.
camel.ai-observability.enabled or camel.aiObservability.enabled — align with
Camel Main naming in apache/camel)
* Wire properties into CamelContext / PropertiesComponent so AI producers honor
the global toggle
* Add spring-configuration-metadata.json entries for IDE auto-completion
* Document in camel-spring-boot reference guide
* Add unit/integration test(s) verifying property binding

* No breaking change to existing Camel Main-only users
