Jonathan Anstey created CAMEL-9223:
--------------------------------------

             Summary: IllegalArgumentException when reverting fields using
property placeholders
                 Key: CAMEL-9223
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-9223
             Project: Camel
          Issue Type: Bug
    Affects Versions: 2.16.0
            Reporter: Jonathan Anstey
            Assignee: Jonathan Anstey
             Fix For: 2.17.0, 2.16.1

When using a route like
{code}
<camelContext xmlns="http://camel.apache.org/schema/spring";>
   <propertyPlaceholder id="properties" location="classpath:my.properties"
       xmlns="http://camel.apache.org/schema/spring"; />
   <route>
        <from uri="direct:start" />
         <multicast prop:stopOnException="stop">
                <to uri="mock:a" />
                <to uri="mock:b" />
        </multicast>
   </route>
</camelContext>
{code}

The following exception is thrown:
{code}
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Could not find a suitable setter for
property: stopOnException as there isn't a setter method with same type:
java.lang.String nor type conversion possible: {{stop}}
