Zoran Regvart commented on CAMEL-14581:
---------------------------------------

[~shreya_agarwal] have a look at the [README
file|https://github.com/apache/camel-website/blob/master/README.md] we have in
the website repository.

[~aashnajena] I agree, not having sub-menus would be better. For accessibility
I ran an accessibility audit on the website and we did not get a good score,
mostly due to contrast and readability issues. Feel free to prototype any
changes you think need to be done, especially around the search functionality.
If you wish you can post mockups here first if that's easier for you.

> The current Apache Camel website can use some help with the usability. I've
> identified the following areas that could improve:
> * simpler top level navigation: currently we have Blog, Projects,
> Documentation, Community, Download, About; some of these also have sub-menu
> items. I think we could benefit from a simpler organization and perhaps get
> rid of sub-menus and serve pages with content regarding each section (e.g.
> documentation page could have pointers to different kinds of documentation we
> currently have on the sub-menu)
> * accessibility (readability/contrast/...): we should run audits and make
> sure that the website is accessible
> * rework menus on low resolution: make sure that the menus are large enough
> and readable on lower resolution
