Piotr Klimczak commented on CAMEL-19024:
----------------------------------------

Ahh got it. Thanks Claus.
It is really regretful that spring is not "officially" supported as we are
using Spring successfully with Blueprint/Spring bridge on Karaf 4.3.1 and now
migrating to 4.4.3.

I have created few patches to Aries community over a year ago to allow Spring
successfully work with Karaf and Camel, but they are all hanging without even
comments on them: ARIES-2045 and ARIES-2046.

So in all honesty Camel + Spring + Karaf is just few patches away, just can't
get community to merge my PRs :D.
And it fully works, including osgi features from Spring- OSGi references,
services, config admin based properties, etc.
Pretty much it all works like with Spring 3 and Spring-DM (old good days) :D.

What do you think Claus, do we really want such combination to die?
(BTW. I am not keen on blueprint app context)
