I am not entirely sure for this, but it also appears to impact the "state" 
variable.  For example, if you stop the VM from VMWare (or reboot the host), 
the status stays at Running even if the VM is stopped.

On Xen, when you shutdown a VM from the XenServer, the state is updated in 
CloudStack to reflect the proper state.  It's not happening on VMWare.
