ilya musayev commented on CLOUDSTACK-8038: ------------------------------------------ Nux, I don't know if you will be able to roll vmware tools support on the distro of linux you are running and keep the size small at the same time, but at the least if you have e1000 nic module and lsilogic controller module, vm should boot in vmware. One method to consider is to build http://sourceforge.net/projects/open-vm-tools/files/open-vm-tools/stable-9.4.x/ once and then copy the modules and libs over to this appliance. The size of the VM will increase by few megs - but nothing horrible.
