You can try this:
http://marcus.mlsorensen.com/cloudstack-extras/tomcat_test.py
wget that to your mgmt server and run 'python tomcat_test.py'. If your tomcat
is broken, it should print nothing. If your tomcat is not broken, you should
get a bunch of 'webpage' spewed at you. My dev environment was broken, I
downloaded apache-tomcat 6.0.43 from http://tomcat.apache.org/download-60.cgi
and the test passes.
