Exactly. I am referring to both: controlling device volume and the programmatic
equivalent of the mute switch. If one can be implemented in iOS and both
implemented in Android, WP7, WP8,... it would be great.
It would also be nice to be able to read the current setting of the device
volume, since you can set it to zero (during the night, for example), and then
bring it back to the previous setting at morning.
