Thanks Jacques. I have updated the patch with your review comments and also
fixed few issues which we found during testing in sharded environment.
bq. We clearly need a bunch of unit tests as part of this plugin before we can
start accepting more patches.
We are working on unit tests and soon we will update patch on
[DRILL-1666|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DRILL-1666].
bq. Additionally, we should do something about Hash-based shard keys.
Currently, this returns incorrect data (no records when records exist). We need
to fall back to single reader mode (or alternatively, fail the query).
We will work on this in a separate jira
