It is, but please coordinate with [~adamsaghy] and let's try to use/configure
OpenRewrite (https://docs.openrewrite.org) to fix things (semi-) automatically.
This will definitely require some manual touch-ups, because of our code
structure (but not to wild). I did an experiment locally on my machine to see
how far I could get and had only one minor compile issue left if I remember
correctly. There were a lot of changes (1000+ files), but most of them trivial
(e.g. removal of "@Autowired" which is deprecated and not necessary anymore).
Let's schedule a quick call with maybe both Adams ([~adamsaghy] and
[~meonkeys]) and whoever else is interested as this will have probably some
ripple effects and needs some tweaking before it works. Upgrading these major
frameworks requires the whole ecosystem to follow (Spring Framework 7.x ->
Spring Boot 4.x -> Spring Batch, Jackson 3.x etc.).
Maybe you can organize this via the mailing list [~samchenko]?
