@kevin - I'm not sure if this is the same issue, but it sounds similar to a bug
I logged in 3.9 which has been fixed in AIR 4.0 here:
https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3648197. Download the beta and
give it a shot to see if it resolves your problem.
