actually now that I think about this more I'm thinking it'd be better to add a
{{hive2}} (and maybe {{hive3) ala the hbase sink support. then we could ship
1.10 with as up to date as possible hive client support, at the expense of
making folks who have been using the hive 1 sink with hive versions [2.0,2.3.4]
needing to change their configs if they want to use hive 2.3.5+.}}
