That's very plausible. Strange though that logback doesn't report an error or
warning about the invalid value.
Also, I just tried with {{<root level="warning"/>}} in logback.xml, and
log-level commented out. I would assume that this should then also exhibit the
issue ... but it doesn't.
The log shows that the logback config is being used:
{{[2026-07-27 00:12:34] [info] 00:12:34.863 [main] INFO
org.apache.guacamole.log.LogModule – Loading logback configuration from
"/etc/guacamole/logback.xml".}}
but the DEBUG lines are no longer logged. So logback seems to be tolerant of
the value 'warning'.
