Andrew Purtell commented on HBASE-11079:
----------------------------------------

Was thinking along those lines. A one shot sync. Might be worth as a dev
process pasting-over from trunk to 0.98, fixing up, then pasting-over from 0.98
to 0.96, fixing up, then pasting-over from 0.96 to 0.94. The outcome would be
six patches, one for each branch for each tool (and helper classes), for
independent review and commit. It would be a fair amount of work but I'd be
interested in doing it and then some drag racing among the branches on the same
test cluster.

> Normalize test tools across branches

> Will be a challenge wherever the branches vary functionally, but it would be
> good to normalize the test tools (LoadTestTool and PerformanceEvaluation) as
> much as possible among the active branches so we can compare them.
