Agreed Ted. But on the client side the method is still the same. Considering
your concern regarding async flushes

become dependent on the current behavior."
This behavior would change for table flushes too. Earlier they were sync
flushes, now they becomes async if we remove Future.get().
This was the reason why I revisited this issue.
