Waiting on your comments as to if you liked the design of the current patch, 
with the addition of the table methods via class-reopening and with the 
internal vs external method stuff, etc. If you are happy, then I'll do the rest 
of the table commands (put, get, etc.) in the same style and throw a patch up 
on RB tonight so everyone gets a chance to look.
