Uma Maheswara Rao G commented on HBASE-5536: -------------------------------------------- Yes, Ram. typo :-). Here is what I meant: We should not access any non exposed APIs from HDFS at least from this version. We should bring the requirement to HDFS about the usage and need of that APIs in Hbase. Get the access throw some public interfacing. So, that even though HDFS changes internal APIs, public interfacing would remains same. So, Hbase/Other dependent users need not end up with reflections for every compatibility change. > Make it clear that hbase 0.96 requires hadoop 1.0.0 at least; we will no > longer work on older versions > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > Key: HBASE-5536 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-5536 > Project: HBase > Issue Type: Task > Reporter: stack > Priority: Blocker > Fix For: 0.96.0 > > > Looks like there is pretty much consensus that depending on 1.0.0 in 0.96 > should be fine?
