I’m really confused. Why you guys keep rejecting to give a clear design on the
caching stuff? When I was asked to give a clear design, I even filled the
design doc with an implementation plan to explain what I thought, to help
others understand.
Caching is what I said, one of the advantage of ‘master local region’, and you
guys first say that this is not an advantage of ‘master local region’, and
remove it from the design doc. So I asked how do you plan to implement the
caching for ‘general root table’, if it is the same with ‘master local region’
then the pros for ‘general root table’ are all gone. Then you guys claimed that
it is not the same. So I asked again, please give a clear design. This time you
guys said this should be addressed as a whole, not only for root table, but
still, refuse to give a clear design, and even refused to discuss this in this
jira and define it as ‘off topic’.
The Pros for ‘general root table’ in the design are even written by me, but the
Pros for my solution are always being ignored and removed from the design doc.
In the discussion here, one of the advantages is defined as a ‘compromise’, and
the other is defined as ‘off topic’. What do you guys think if you are treating
like this? Not a double standard?
So I will try to be constructive the last time, please give a design on how you
plan to deal with hot spot regions as a whole in the HBase and how we can use
it to deal with the hot spot of ‘general root table’. We should not rely on
something does not exist yet, as the hot spot for root table is a real problem.
If you guys still keep refusing to answer the question but trying to fight me
by back by setting the rules on what can be talked, I will not discuss here any
more. Just waste of time. I will give the jira back to you guys and you can do
what ever you like and I will file another jira to complete my implementation.
I will try to get help for others in the community.
