This is a "Dry run" mode really. I was thinking that for files and databases we can replace the URI's and Database connections with `/dev/null` variants. It's a nice thought exercise and it might only be possible in regular Hop pipelines. The "Dry run" option could trigger running with modified metadata, replaced resources and database connections. We would need to support this for graph operations as well and a number of other transforms like HTTP, anything that performs updates, deleted, inserts, writes of any kind.
