Colin Patrick McCabe commented on HTRACE-18:

bq. That is probably it. Colin Patrick McCabe you were about us sticking to 1.6
a while?
Well, Hadoop is now JDK7, so I think we should upgrade. Not sure about
Accumulo, might want to check that first.
This all seems like a separate issue than this patch, though... I still don't
understand why you are getting that exception. Did you try with a {{mvn
clean}} and rebuild? The {{targetJdk}} version is set pretty clearly in the
top-level {{pom.xml}}, not sure how that could get ignored by Maven...?

> Hi htrace devs,
> I have been using htrace for a while and find it very useful.
> I needed a way to collect traces from remote servers via flume, so I
> implemented the flume receiver (patch attached). If this code is useful to
> other users, I would like to contribute it to the project.
> Please kindly review the patch, and let me know if anything I should
> fix/improve.
> Thanks,
> Long Zhou
