Hey @jordepic, I think the reason for the revert is to get us to clean state prior to the release. It's much harder to make corrections if something goes out that we're not certain about. Even if we isolate to HDFS, it doesn't address some of the configuration+surprise behavior issues. I think we'd need to do some deeper thinking on this (or possibly push for hadoop to provide a better integrated solution with the filesystem implementation). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
