Jean-Baptiste Onofré commented on KARAF-7776:
---------------------------------------------

[~nannou9] Karaf is still active and still working with other projects. The
first idea is to work with those third party projects. If it's too challenging,
the plan B is to create wrapping in Karaf directly (it's still possible to wrap
with "uber" bundles wrapping the third party projects).

> For some time I am trying to find out what is the plan for Karaf CXF 4 and
> Camel 4 support.
> I appreciate it might be wrong place to ask this questions.
> However CXF-8723 does suggest this might be dependant on Karaf (for which
> reason OSGi support was apparently completely removed in CXF4 in CXF-8879)
> Also seen in Camel 4 release jiras/notes somewhere, that Camel community now
> refers to Karaf as "Legacy" platform.
> I was trying to google some future Karaf plans etc, can't see anything clear.
> I suppose question is, what are future Karaf plans?
