Ah, it totally is per core. That documentation may be from the days before
multi-core even existed? It's common for people to separate the hosts for
masters and slaves because you will probably have some load balancer in front
of them and it's easier to setup this way (among other reasons), but from the
Solr perspective, it's just cores that take different roles.
