Mark Robert Miller commented on SOLR-14636:
-------------------------------------------

So as this issue comes to a close and and this moves into the next phase, the
shape and direction and priority is going to expand well beyond me.

But I will continue to strive from my part, to make our tests unassailable, to
make the system run and use hardware like we are professionals in that area, to
dramatically improve scale and stability of the system, and to take a new focus
on the practical aspects of actually trying to run this thing for real, not in
my hypothetical head.

> Provide a reference implementation for SolrCloud that is stable and fast.
