David Smiley commented on SOLR-14647:
-------------------------------------

I don't use Eclipse.  Can someone please clarify where .project, .classpath,
.settings, and bin directories might be?  Those that only exist at the root of
the project should be defined with a leading "/".  These are directories, so
should end in "/".  I'm curious about "bin" in particular... doesn't seem
Eclipse specific.

I'm working on organizing and cleaning our .gitignore.

> Switch to master branch, then open Eclipse IDE and select "file > import >
> existing gradle project" to import lucene/solr. Afterwards, "git status"
> shows unstaged ".project", ".classpath", ".settings" and "bin"
> files/directories.
> Adjust the .gitignore file to correctly filter these out.
