[~rcmuir] this is a very good point. However from the practical point of view
solving this on Monitor side would probably mean a performance hit or increased
complexity (reimplementing BytesRefHash internally?), while making such non
mutating operation like find work correctly without changing internal state of
an object does not seem to be too much of a stretch. What do you think?
