I'm modifying gen_ForUtil.py as part of [this
PR|https://github.com/apache/lucene/pull/69] (related to
[LUCENE-9850|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LUCENE-9850]) and wonder if
this is something I could also address while I'm at it. I'm not sure I really
understand what the issue is though. Does this script actually run as part of a
build step? My impression was that it's only used adhoc as needed, but maybe
I'm overlooking something?
