Hi, I was looking for a good first issue to understand the Lucene
contribution flow and came across this one.
I noticed the previous PR #15027 by @yossev had the same fix but went
stale due to merge conflicts and
formatting issues. I've gone ahead and resubmitted the change with
conflicts resolved, formatting fixed, and
benchmark results included. PR is here: #15790
