Good day to you, Wendy, I have recently created a maven-archetype-plugin's documentation for [1], and it's still currently being reviewed ([2]). Anyway, I have placed in there the "Guide to Creating Archetypes" ([3]) and "Introduction to Archetypes" ([4]). And so far, nobody has objected with that. If you want, you can place apply your changes there as well so if [3] and [4] do get transfered to the maven-archetype-plugin documentation, the naming convention would still be there. WDYT? Thanks a bunch, Franz [1] http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/ARCHETYPE-45 [2] http://www.nabble.com/Maven-Archetype-Plugin-Documentation-needs-Reviewing-tf1997860.html [3] http://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-creating-archetypes.html [4] http://maven.apache.org/guides/introduction/introduction-to-archetypes.html > Document the naming convention for archetypes > --------------------------------------------- > > Key: MNG-2484 > URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNG-2484 > Project: Maven 2 > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: Documentation: Guides > Reporter: Wendy Smoak > Attachments: archetype-naming-convention.diff > > > As discussed, document the archetype naming convention as > <projectname>-archetype-<description>. > http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/maven-dev/200607.mbox/[EMAIL > PROTECTED] -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://jira.codehaus.org/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
