I would like to import an existing Maven2-based project with an existing POM
(pom.xml) as a new project, much like eclipse currently does for an existing
Java project, via File\Import\General\Existing Projects into Workspace. A new
import category "Maven2" should appear with the option "Existing Maven2
Projects into Workspace". This would read the POM and create everything
necessary, including a Maven2-enabled eclipse project, using reasonable
defaults for things like the eclipse project name.
