continuum can get confused if wrong pom url is entered

on codehaus, the following url was added as a pom:
http://svn.codehaus.org/livetribe/garden/livetribe-jsr223/trunk/pom.xml
this resulted in an HTML index file being downloaded as the file "trunk" to the
temp directory. It obviously fails, but when trying to add the correct
http://svn.codehaus.org/livetribe/garden/livetribe-jsr223/trunk/pom.xml, it
fails because trunk the directory can not be created.
We should remove the temp file if it previously failed.
