We experience the following NPE when maven-scm-local cannot access the
filesystem, e.g. because a server is down. This is due to a missing null-check
for variable "messages" in DefaultContinuumScm.getValidationMessages. We use
Continuum 1.0.3, but the check is even missing in SVN trunk.
