Is repository indexing really worthy?
-------------------------------------

                 Key: MNGECLIPSE-199
                 URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNGECLIPSE-199
Project: Maven 2.x Extension for Eclipse
          Issue Type: Wish
          Components: Repository Management
         Environment: Windows
            Reporter: Akbarr
            Priority: Minor

Every time I start Eclipse, it spends a long time indexing my M2 repository. I
think this is done only for the "Add dependency" window, but I'm not sure. The
point is that I don't use this window, but rather edit the POM file manually,
and so it's a problem for me to wait several minutes every time I start
Eclipse. I think it would be interesting to add an option in the preferences
window for disabling the repository indexing.
