Brett Porter closed MSITE-186.
------------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
not really sure how to close this. It's not a problem in the site plugin - that
works.
As for applying it to the documentation, it has recently been applied to the
plugin sites in SVN (not yet published, will do when I get home).
> Display version numbers in documentation, particularly for plugins

> Project: Maven 2.x Site Plugin
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Reporter: Nigel Magnay
>
> Typical day at the office
> user : This plugin doesn't seem to be working properly
> me: have you checked the documentation
> user: Yes, it says <blah blah> but I just get some error
> me: Ah, that's because the documentation is for version <x> of that plugin,
> and we're using plugin version <y>
> user: how do I know which version I'm running and what version this
> documentation is for ?
> * Add the version to the site
> * For plugins, make the version a link to a page that tells the user how to
> determine what version of a plugin they are using.
