Arik Kfir commented on MSITE-186:
---------------------------------
If the site.xml could be interpolated with macros such as "${project.version}"
then this would be easy - one would simply add the ${version} to the project
title. Same goes for the APT docs.
> Display version numbers in documentation, particularly for plugins

> Project: Maven 2.x Site Plugin
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Reporter: Nigel Magnay
>
> Typical day at the office
> user : This plugin doesn't seem to be working properly
> me: have you checked the documentation
> user: Yes, it says <blah blah> but I just get some error
> me: Ah, that's because the documentation is for version <x> of that plugin,
> and we're using plugin version <y>
> user: how do I know which version I'm running and what version this
> documentation is for ?
> * Add the version to the site
> * For plugins, make the version a link to a page that tells the user how to
> determine what version of a plugin they are using.
