[~rfscholte] That pointer was helpful. We were loading an older version of
plexus-component-metadata plugin (1.7.1) in parent pom. With that updated to
2.1.0 version, 3.0.0-M4 version of surefire ran through without the above
Guice error. So seems like a conflict between the two plugins/versions?
