[~sor] I can't find the relevant quote at the moment but I remember
[~rfscholte] saying that the --patch-module command-line was added at his
request but later on they found a way to make Maven work without it. I'm not
convinced that is actually required in this case but it would certainly help to
have a concrete testcase (with full source-code) for us to look at to settle
this discussion. We could go around and around forever when discussing things
in the abstract.
Also, please note that the referenced use-case is totally different from
anything we've touched upon before. Pavel wants to add "exports" to the main
module when running unit tests. In the discussion thread, they are talking
about adding "requires" when running unit tests. Something sounds very wrong
there. Let's get a concrete testcase and then we can discuss this further.
