Getting the following error complaining about comments from the manual entry:

xml': in comment after two dashes (--) next character must be > not -

org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-clover-plugin:pom:LATEST
Deleting the comments from the maven-metadata-central.xml file fixes it until I
use a -U option, then it comes back.
