The Introduction to the POM page ends the Project Inheritence section with the
following line:
"NOTE: Profile inheritance the same inheritance strategy as used for the POM
itself."
First of all, this sentence is confusing because it lacks a verb. Secondly,
one reading this would infer that "uses" should be the verb, which would imply
that profiles are inherited from the parent POM like everything else, which is
not the case.
