If you think that splitting the contents of _$HOME/.m2_ between cache, config
and user data is not feasible to do right now, *at the bare minimum* you could
put everything under {{_$XDG_DATA_HOME/maven_}} (with a fallback to
_$HOME{{_/.local/share/maven_}}_)
