OK, in the example project this is the output:
[WARNING] Used undeclared dependencies found:
[WARNING] commons-logging:commons-logging:jar:1.1.3:test
[WARNING] Unused declared dependencies found:
[WARNING] org.springframework:spring-core:jar:3.2.18.RELEASE:test
I'm pretty sure that the commons-logging warning is working as intended and
documented, though the documentation is confusing and the intention is perhaps
wonky. The second warning with
org.springframework:spring-core:jar:3.2.18.RELEASE:test looks like a bug though
I don't yet know exactly where it is. ProjectDependencyAnalysis in
maven-dependency-analyzer does appear to have a test covering this exact
functionality,
