Maven2 issues with Filter

Apache Axis2 moved to maven2 completely and now we have faced few issues with
maven2. Axis2 is a multi modules bit complex projects and we had no issues with
maven1 other than the performance. But once we moved to maven2 we realized that
we have issues with filters and we uses a number of filters as well. Specially
we have filters in the top most pom.xml and others extend form that , once we
change the filter value others get changed but the uploaded one has the filter
name not the value.
It will be great we can get a fix or path for this since this is bit critical
for us. We can edit them manually and do the release but that is not that good.
